Zonked Out, Brass Conehead

The Zonked Out – Brass Conehead is a proven rabbit-strip streamer built to push water, create movement, and imitate the profile of a baitfish or leech. A white rabbit zonker strip provides natural breathing action, while the palmered yellow saddle hackle flares and pulses on the pause. A painted-eye brass conehead adds weight and gives fish a clear target.

The brass conehead provides a moderate sink rate, making this version especially useful in shallower rivers, ponds, and lakes when you want the fly working through the middle of the water column rather than dredging the bottom.

Fish it around structure, let it drop, then work it back with short, aggressive strips. Twitch it on the drop, swing it through current, or vary your retrieve until you find what the fish want.

Effective for brown trout, rainbow trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, Snook, Speckled Trout, and Redfish, as well as other predators that feed on baitfish and leeches.
