Mohair Leech

A classic stillwater leech pattern designed to imitate one of the most reliable food sources for trout in lakes and reservoirs. The mohair body creates a naturally full profile while maintaining a lifelike appearance in the water, making the fly effective when stripped, retrieved slowly, or fished around structure and drop-offs.

The MFC Mohair Leech is available in Black, Canadian Brown and Wine giving you several options for matching different water conditions and forage. MFC lists it among its leech patterns.

Uptide Take
Leeches are one of those patterns that deserve a permanent spot in a trout box. The Mohair Leech keeps things simple—a natural profile, plenty of movement, and a presentation that works when trout are looking for something substantial moving through the water.
