Mickey Finn, Fire Tiger

The Mickey Finn is a legendary bucktail streamer dating back to 1936, and this Fire Tiger variation turns up the color and flash. A bright yellow bucktail wing surrounds a hot red center stripe over a silver Mylar tinsel body, creating a high-visibility streamer that flashes with every strip.

The bold profile and contrasting colors make it an excellent choice when you're looking to trigger reaction strikes from aggressive fish. Trout, smallmouth bass, pike, and pickerel will chase it, while its bright bucktail profile can also produce in brackish water for species like snook and speckled trout.

Fish it down and across and let it swing through current seams before stripping it back with sharp pulls. In stillwater, count it down and use an erratic retrieve with pauses to trigger fish following the fly.
