The MAXXON SDX is a fully sealed fly reel built for anglers who demand dependable performance in saltwater, big-game, and other demanding fishing environments. Fully CNC-machined from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, the SDX combines a lightweight, precision-built frame with a hard-anodized two-tone silver and brushed gold finish designed to withstand harsh conditions.
Inside, the SDX uses a fully sealed multi-disc drag system featuring carbon and non-asbestos disc brakes to provide consistent pressure while helping manage heat under load. A sealed three-bearing system keeps unwanted elements out while maintaining smooth operation, and the large U-shaped arbor provides fast line pickup and ample capacity.
The SDX also features MAXXON's TRAXX cap system. The interchangeable numbered caps secure the spool to the frame using an internal O-ring system while providing a simple way to identify the line weight loaded on each spool. Every SDX includes a protective neoprene travel pouch and MAXXON's lifetime warranty.
