Goddard Caddis – High-Floating Adult Caddis Dry Fly

The Goddard Caddis is a classic adult caddis imitation designed to float high and stay buoyant during active caddis hatches. Its clipped and densely packed deer hair body creates a durable, high-floating profile that performs especially well in fast water, riffles, and broken currents.

Unlike low-riding caddis patterns, the Goddard Caddis is designed to ride on top of the surface film, making it an excellent choice when adult caddis are fluttering, skating, and bouncing across the water. The dense deer hair traps air and resists saturation, helping the fly stay afloat through long drifts and repeated strikes.

It's particularly effective during evening caddis hatches, in pocket water, and anywhere trout are looking for adult caddis on the surface.
